My First Blog Post

“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.”

— Aristotle

Hello, my name is Andy Castellano and I am student enrolling in California State University Chico as a freshman on my second semester. I’m not that greatest at being social with people but I enjoy hearing others on topics they wish to talk about! I do hope to improve myself a lot more as a person and friend.

Appearance

  • I am 18-Year Old Hispanic Male with me being born here in California as a US Citizen while also being half El Salvadorian with my parents being born both in El Salvador.
  • From looks, I am 5’11 for height size which makes me pretty tall and also making me the 2nd tallest in my family. My hair color is dark brown and I always my hair combed to the right side. I always have glasses on because they are my prescription glasses for I require them for far vision.

College/Personal Life

  • There are plenty of things to do when participating in college life from variety of activities, shows, or events they host. I enjoy how a community joins together to do these things but I find it difficult for myself when balancing out personal, social, and work life all together.
  • Most of what I do personally is that use most of my time wisely just going out for walks around the place or stay at home. It’s not really the best kind of lifestyle but it’s something I prefer seeing how going out to places with others can be somewhat draining and I do the best trying to endure it.
  • Even so, I enjoy going out with others to experience new or repeating things with them. Though as much I would love to do it more often, I wouldn’t bring it up as much for I would not want to bother others if they are busy.
  • What can be hassle for me to enjoy life is the work I have to do. As all other people have to do their share of work so do I and that can make it difficult to find exact times on stuff I wish to do personally or socially with others.

Major

  • The major I am currently doing is Animal Science with it falling under the category for Agriculture. I have taken a liking to Animal Science and there two things that are an inspiration for me to take this major: a class that I have taken for Companion Animal Science in my junior year of high school and my pet dog named Tricky who’s breed is a Shih Tzu.
  • Animal Science is seen as tough major in this university from how focused it on many subject from remembering a lot of terms used for livestocks and the breeds that they are, the sort of methods used in business and livestock areas, and so much more. Most of this can be pretty difficult for me but I wish to improve myself a lot more in breaking my social barriers and having to help others with both their companion animals or livestocks.

Facts!

  • There’s not much I can say that show much interest myself but I am reliable if you need to talk with me about something if there is an issue or problem that others facing. I do my best on providing other solutions or offer help with them together to fix things.
  • One sorta weird and interesting about me is that I am allergic to quite an amount of things: Tomato, Eggs, Oranges, Pineapple, Melon (not watermelon), Sunscreen, and probably a few more that can be tough to remember from memory. When I was an infant, I had a lot of issues getting allergic to things and even getting sick from when I learned about it from my parents so it sorta makes me special to have these problems.

Starting off with Introductions

As you already knows from my name on the blogs and how I am student in CSU Chico, I would like to delve more into who I am a bit more personally.

Appearance

Hometown

  • My current hometown is in a town called “Mountain House”. Mountain House is in California and from what I can say, it’s at least 1 hour or more away from the Bay Area and near certain places like Manteca, Livermore, and Oakland. It take’s 2 hours and 30 minutes or more to get from Chico to my hometown.
  • Mountain House is not a place many people would know or heard about seeing how it’s still a small developing community. My hometown is a lot more quieter compared to here in Chico but that’s sort of the one thing I enjoy being at my town when I go out walking for it feels a lot more relaxing.
  • From an idea of how my town is viewed when looking at the opposite way from my house, there are hills and mountains surrounding our town from from the west and south of us and that there are slowly more houses and building being constructed in our town. Our town wasn’t once a place where people live many years ago for it was the city right next to us that sort of built up our community here after many years.
  • My past hometown was in Oakland from what I said being near my town by one hour. I lived most of my young life all the way to Kindergarten over there when we move there halfway during my year in it but started 1st grade over at Mountain House all the way till I graduated from high school and still have my family live there.
